Hello and welcome!

🌸 Workshops at Pinjarra Arts Hub

I’ll be back at the Pinjarra Arts Hub in Edenvale with some beautiful new needle felting workshops. These sessions are always full of fun, creativity, and connection. If you’ve been thinking about giving felting a try (or want to come back for another project), this is the perfect chance. Event information is on my events page, or you can book at trybooking.com/DEJCL for the Gumnuts and Daisies workshop, or trybooking.com/DEJTC for the new Heartfelt Sheep workshop.

🏡 Workshops in My Studio

For those who prefer a smaller, more relaxed setting, I’m also opening up my home studio in Mandurah for workshops. These sessions will be cosy, hands-on, and tailored to the group, so you can enjoy learning in a slower, more personal way. Contact me to arrange one. To give you an idea of prices, I charge $50/hour for my guidance plus materials. So, say 4 of you want to come to make gumnuts in a 2-and-a-half-hour workshop it will cost $31.25 each plus materials (just $5 if you already have a kit, or $20 if not!) Great value for such personalised fun!

🌼 My Trip to Nannup

Recently I headed down to Nannup to run workshops as part of the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival. If you haven't been to this wonderful festival before, I highly recommend it. The place was stunningly beautiful with so much on. Great markets - I bought wicking beds and a worm farm at great prices, some funky glasses frames, plants and tasty food! Flowers all around with an extensive variety of great value workshops available for the gardener and the creative. The exhibition in the Town Hall was amazingly beautiful, picture below:

My workshops went really well. I shouldn't really single anyone out but I do have to mention a couple of participants; one was a Year 9 student who, as an absolute beginner, picked up the craft in no time and produced a gumnut and a half-finished tulip in 2 and a half hours! I also loved how Nina designed her needle felted tulip, she shaped the petals with skill and chose her colours to match her favourite tulip variety!

🎥 New Videos on YouTube

If you havent make it to a workshop just yet, you can still see what I do online. I’ve added a few needle felting videos on my YouTube channel, SheeptoShore - YouTube where I share tips, techniques, and little projects you can try at home. They are really made as reminders for people who have attended my workshops, but may be valuable to others as well.

🌸 Future Fun!

I have very kindly been asked to do a demonstration and workshop at the wonderful Fairbridge village for Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society (CAHRS) retreat, Fairbridge Craft Retreat 2025 – Cahrs. What a treat to work with this wonderful organisation! Even if you are not a member you can attend. see the link above.

I have also been asked to have a stall at the wonderful Naragebub Environment Centre in Rockingham on the 25th October, and I plan to follow this up with workshops there. I was a volunteer there, and also had a short-paid stint to get their sustainability shop up and happening about 20 years ago. It is their 25th Anniversary, so I am really proud to be part of it! naragebup.org.au

Well, I think that that is enough for now! I do waffle! Thank you again for subscribing—I do hope you are managing to find some time to relax and be creative, whatever that means to you. Always know that I love to know what kind of projects or workshops you’d like to see next, so feel free to reply and let me know, or email me at connect@sheeptoshore.au

Wishing you many wonderful woolly days!
