My Blog: helpful and fun stuff just for you!
Hi,
I am Audra, the heart, hands, and creator of Sheep to Shore. A mini business dream of mine, where I can get together with others and enjoy the joy of creating together.

The Start of Sheep to Shore
For many years, I lived in the wonderful town of Mount Barker, Western Australia, where sheep were my neighbours, and the Stirling Ranges, my view. After a bad work accident, creativity became my escape, and I became passionate again about needle felting.
I was asked if I would like to put my creations in a local Art Gallery (The Cheeky Parrot) and then a leatherwares gift shop on the main street also asked if they could sell my products. They proved to be popular and soon I was getting requests to run a workshop, others wanted to learn how to make these woolly wonders.
So, I ran a workshop at the local arts centre, it was a hit! I loved it! Sharing this craft with others, watching people relax, laugh, and surprise themselves with what they can create, became something I couldn’t keep to myself. I wanted to do more! A friend of mine had recently moved to Mukinbuden and asked if I would like to run one up there......I did, and I loved it.
I then vowed to myself that sometime, I would see if there was a woolly chance of making it a viable part of my life. That time is now.
On moving to Mandurah everything started to snowball (or should I say woollyball!). I got myself on a free business course, then a marketing course, I joined the Pinjarra Arts Hub, and I have been meeting the most amazing helpful people.
Why "Sheep to Shore"
Recently, I’ve swapped paddocks for sea breezes and now call Mandurah, in Western Australia, home, hence the name Sheep to Shore! I think the rest is self- explanatory.... sheep = wool, my favourite product,it also means country, where some of my heart still is. The ocean for me is peace and calm, symbolising new starts, refreshing. The name just fitted.
