News Flash!
A space has just opened up for my Ocean Wool Painting workshop on Monday the 9th February, 9.30am-12.30pm as one of the ladies had grandparent duties! Go to my website to book: www.sheeptoshore.au/workshops . It is just $45, plus materials and kit (a full kit is $20, materials will be $10-15 depending on the size and gems you use, and remember for home studio workshops you can always bring your own).
Hello!
What a wonderful start to my year! Two fun workshops at my home studio, a workshop at the beautiful Pinjarra Arts Hub, and my place in the Mandurah Open Studios has been confirmed.
What shall I do next? - see the poll at the bottom for future home studio workshops!
Workshops:
In my first workshop where we did wool painting and a felted soap. This is when you use the wool fibres to create pictures/paintings. It was such a lovely workshop, everyone successfully creating their own design. Four of the wonderful ladies are joining me again next week to do an Ocean themed one, with more textures including gems, crystals, silk and glass beads as well as wonderful Merino wool. The other is keen for me to do a workshop for her daughter and friends!

Talking of daughters, my latest workshop was in my studio with a Gran and her three granddaughters, what a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! They all created a wool heart that they turned into a keyring and decided to stay longer to learn how to make their own flowers.

So, I guess my news growing from this is that my home studio is up and successfully running, it makes a beautiful creative space. It is great value as well as because I don't have to spend time packing and driving so my rates are low!
I also have clearance to teach children and teens, I have the insurance and my working with children check. It was so lovely to be part of this family get together! I would love to see if I could run a full three generation workshop!
My last January workshop was again in my studio with four wonderful women who have been friends for years. It was such fun! We did sheep! One was so nervous, as she didn't consider herself crafty, but she did so well, even getting some things perfect before other more experienced crafters much to our enjoyment!

Peel Open Studios:
I am so excited to be part of this fantastic event from the 2nd to the 10th May. I am sharing a venue with 9 other artists, so it is definitely worth visiting us at the Halls Head Community Hall. We are open on the weekends only. Here is the link to my online page and you can see all the other artists on that website too.
