Hello wonderful woolly friends!
It has been a full and woolly few weeks here at Sheep to Shore, and I have so much to share with you, but will keep it to just a few things!
🌊 More Popular Ocean Textures Wool Painting Workshops x 2 coming to Halls Head

The Ocean Textures Wool Painting Workshops in Halls Head have been incredibly popular — so popular that I have organised two more on Saturday, the 14th March and Friday, the 24th April! Tickets went live yesterday and they are already selling, with just four spots available for each workshop it is a personal, supportive class. You can get more information and book here:
There is something so calming about layering soft merino fibres into rolling waves, adding texture, depth and embellishments into a wool painting.

Even more special for me was that four wonderful ladies who first met at my 2D Wool Painting Workshop have now formed a friendship. They returned together for the Ocean workshop and have since booked into two more workshops — including our next creative adventure… a hanging jellyfish piece!

This is exactly why I love what I do. It’s not just about wool — it’s about connection, joy, creativity and time for ourselves.
🐑 Sheep Workshop – Is Anyone Else Interested?
I’ve had one lovely lady definitely keen for a Sheep Workshop… I know others have expressed an interest in the past, but I didn't make notes! Are you interested? If you’ve been thinking about sculpting your own character-filled sheep (with gorgeous curly locks!), now is the time to let me know so I can schedule another date. Message me to let me know, preferably with a couple of days of the week that work for you! connect@sheeptoshore.au
Oh, and I did have one ladies email not like my inbox. If this happens let me know, or if you see any other errors, or dont hear back from me! I am a one-woman business and learning as I go!

New Felting Supplies Available
I have restocked with some beautiful new supplies, all in small quantities, saving you from buying in bulk, paying postage, and having too much! They include:
Corriedale and Merino wool in a range of fresh colours (10g $2.50-$3)
Some new Corridale Core wool, great value at only $4 for 50g, excellent for the insides of creatures. I like how this is carded into an easily useable long strip (see picture below).
More coloured locks/curls (mostly Leicester or Mohair $3 for 2.5g)
Nepps - the little bobbles that look great on textures but can be hard to fix in place! ($2 for 2g)
Glass beads and gemstones (2.5g and 5g bags for $2) — perfect for textured art embellishment
I have also made up some texture packs ($7.50-$10) for your creations that include wool, silk viscose, spun wool, nepps and more!
If you’re running low on needle felting supplies, simply message or call me to arrange a time to pop in.

Behind the Scenes – Dyeing Sheep Locks (Wish Me Luck!)
This week has brought a new adventure for me. I have a Sheep Workshop coming up and — yet again — my supplier of those beautiful sheep locks has closed down. Thankfully, she sent me the last of her undyed locks, so today I’ve been dyeing them myself… along with a few nepps!
My participants have been asking for black locks to create a black sheep (which I love!), so I’ve been carefully dyeing curls using a new wool dye from Landscapes. The black shade is beautifully named “Currawong.”
It’s quite a tricky process — the water must stay at an almost boiling temperature, but without agitation. Stir too much and the curls can felt together. And patience… well… let’s just say I may have stirred them a little more than recommended! Fingers crossed they will turn out beautifully on the first try. If this works, I’ll also experiment with blues, teals and turquoises for future ocean artworks.
And yes — these hand-dyed curls will also be available for sale.

Thank you for staying with me to the end!
And thank you for being part of this growing, creative little community. A big hello to new subscribers! Whether you come for curiosity, the wool, the workshops, or the friendships that form around the table — I’m so grateful you’re here.
If you’re interested in any workshops or need supplies — just reply to this email.
Warmly,
Audra 🐑✨
